Static Transfer Switch (STS) for Mobile Data Center

STS(Static Transfer Switch) in mobile data center, is an automatic static switching equipment designed to transfer critical loads between two independent AC power sources without interruption or with a transfer time to ensure permanent power availability when a power outage occurs in order. A Mobile Data Center or Container Data Center is a  portable data processing solution, different from the conventional data center infrastructure. This type of data center typically adopts a structure resembling a shipping container and incorporates hardware, software, and networking equipment including STS. Mobile Data Centers bring benefits such as rapid deployment, ease of migration, and scalability. 

The STS consists of Silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR’s), control & sensing circuits to monitor the incoming sources and transfer the critical loads connected to the secondary source when the primary source fails.
