Power Supply and Distribution System in Data Center Computer Room

The data center room is also known as the electronic information system room. The construction of a data center computer room mainly provides a physical space for centralized processing, storage, transmission, exchange, and management of data information, allowing key equipment such as computers, servers, networks, communication, storage, internal monitoring of the computer room, and access control and security to operate safely and reliably in the computer room, without downtime or damage caused by accidents. The power supply and distribution system of the data center is one of the core support systems of the data center. The power supply and distribution system of the data center computer room mainly consists of the following four subsystems: main power supply, backup power supply, computer room distribution, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS). 

The main power supply system is the foundation of the computer room's power supply, usually powered by the municipal power grid, which provides the main power support for the entire computer room; In principle, the main power supply should be led out from the low-voltage feeder cabinet in the project distribution room, and an independent circuit should be used exclusively for the power supply of the computer room to avoid power outages caused by electrical equipment failures or damages unrelated to the computer room. 

The backup power supply system provides emergency power support in the event of a main power supply failure or malfunction, ensuring that the power supply task can be quickly taken over in the event of a main power supply interruption. 

The power distribution system in the computer room is a bridge that connects core electrical equipment such as power sources and electronic information devices. It is responsible for safely and reliably distributing power to various electrical equipment in the computer room. 

The uninterruptible power supply system is the last line of defense for the power supply and distribution system in the data center. In the event of a failure of both the main and backup power sources, it can provide short-term power support for critical equipment in the data center, ensuring that the system can switch to the backup power source for operation or be safely shut down to avoid sudden power outages that may cause business losses or damage to equipment in the data center. Electronic information equipment should be powered by an uninterruptible power supply system, while auxiliary equipment in the computer room such as air conditioning, exhaust, fresh air, and lighting sockets do not need to be included in the power supply scope of the uninterruptible power supply.
