Several parks in Hangzhou have recently drawn widespread attention for achieving a "mosquito-free" environment. Behind this is a new system combining Bionic Breathing and Big Data Monitoring, hailed as a Dimensional Strike against traditional mosquito problems.
The core device, code-named "Tuntianwa," is an Intelligent Mosquito Trap. Its working principle is CO₂ Trapping: the device simulates high-concentration carbon dioxide exhaled by humans to lure mosquitoes, then sucks them into a sealed chamber with a negative-pressure fan, killing them through dehydration. The entire process is Physical Mosquito Control, using no chemicals, making it safe for the environment and people—a Green and Low-Carbon approach.
According to data from Jiangcun Subdistrict, 55 devices caught over 30,000 mosquitoes in a single day during peak season, reducing mosquito density by over 90%. The backend system generates a real-time Mosquito Heat Map through Big Data Monitoring, precisely identifying high-risk periods and zones, providing data support for targeted Public Health interventions.
Industry observers note that this model replaces crude chemical spraying with precision technology, potentially offering a new solution for mosquito control in urban public spaces.
