The internal temperature of an inverter is the most important factor affecting its lifespan. Excessive temperature can reduce the performance and lifespan of components. The internal capacitors of the inverter are a key factor affecting its lifespan. There is a simplest basic principle: the law of ten degrees. For every 10 degrees Celsius decrease in ambient temperature, the lifespan of capacitors doubles; For every 10 degrees Celsius increase in ambient temperature, the lifespan of capacitors is reduced by half. The inverter itself is a heat source, and the power modules, inductors, switches, cables, and other circuits inside all generate heat. All the heat must be dissipated on time, otherwise the internal temperature will rise higher and higher. Therefore, the heat dissipation design of the inverter is a key point in product development and design. At present, the inverter industry basically adopts two methods: natural cooling and air cooling. Low power models mainly use natural cooling, while medium and high-power models are mostly air-cooled. In order to ensure the stability of the internal temperature of the inverter, in addition to considering product design, special attention should also be paid to the following matters during installation and use.

1)The inverter must be arranged in a well ventilated space. Maintain good ventilation with the outside world. If it must be installed in a closed space, air ducts and exhaust fans or air conditioning units must be installed. It is strictly prohibited to install inverters in enclosed enclosures.

2)The installation position of the inverter should avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. If the inverter is installed outdoors, it is best to choose to install it under the eaves on the sunny side or under the solar panels. There are eaves or components blocking the inverter above. If it can only be installed in an open area, it is recommended to install a sunshade and rain shelter above the inverter

3)Whether installing a single inverter or multiple inverters, it is necessary to follow the installation space dimensions provided by the inverter manufacturer to ensure that the inverter has sufficient ventilation and heat dissipation space, as well as operational space for later operation and maintenance
