Factors affecting the service life of base station batteries

Frequent power outages, long power outages, and irregular power outages at base stations result in frequent charging and discharging of batteries, which is the main reason for the rapid decrease in battery capacity and shortened service life.

The setting parameters of the switch power supply are unreasonable, and the base station battery undervoltage protection setting voltage is too low. The reset voltage is also set too low, causing the battery to experience over discharge or even deep over discharge. On the other hand, it exacerbates the sulfation of the negative plate of the battery, which is another main reason for the decrease in battery capacity and shortened service life.

The base station is used in a harsh environment. After a power outage at the base station, due to the lack of air conditioning, the ambient temperature gradually increased. Or due to air conditioning malfunction, the indoor temperature of the base station may be too high, thereby reducing the service life of the battery.

After a power outage at the base station, if the battery is discharged to the termination voltage and not recharged in a timely manner, it will also lead to a decrease in battery capacity and a shortened service life.
