BYD has obtained patents related to battery cover plates

BYD Co., Ltd. has obtained a patent entitled "Battery Cover Plate, Battery, Battery Pack and Electrical Equipment", with authorization announcement number CN223092973U, and application date in August 2024.

The patent abstract shows that the present application provides a battery cover plate, battery pack, and electrical device. The battery cover plate is used for installation on the battery housing of the battery, and the battery cover plate includes an insulating ring and a cover plate. The insulation ring is used to connect with the battery casing; The cover plate is set on the insulating ring, and there is a buffer groove on the cover plate. The buffer groove is located on at least one side of the cover plate near or away from the battery shell. The buffer groove is used to accommodate the deformation caused by the insulating ring pressing the cover plate towards the side of the cover plate. To solve the problem of brittle fracture of insulation rings under high and low temperature impact, which leads to low yield and shortened service life of batteries.
