48V DC power supply to critical telecommunications equipment

The system is designed such that the load is continuously supplied by the charger under normal operating conditions, while the battery remains on float charge.

In the event of AC mains failure, the battery will automatically supply the load without interruption. Upon restoration of the AC supply, the charger shall automatically resume operation and restore the battery to its nominal state of charge through an appropriate charging regime. The transition between operational states is fully automatic and shall not result in any disturbance to the connected load.

Telecom Embedded Power 48Vdc Rectifier Battery Charger System for telecom applications are used as a secondary power source to provide – 48 V DC supply to telecommunications equipment as well as to charge the conventional or maintenance free VRLA battery as well as lithium-ion battery.

The 48V battery charger system for telecommunication applications is capable of supporting a continuous EC load of approximately at least 30A at 48VDC, inclusive of the stated provision provision for future expansion up to 300A.
