The STS (Static Transfer Switch) is an automatic power transfer system that selects between two power sources. Under normal operating conditions, when the main power supply is within the normal voltage range, the load remains continuously connected to the main power supply. In the event of a main power supply failure, the load automatically switches to the backup power supply.
The STS utilizes Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) modules as the switching components, enabling uninterrupted power transfer between different input power sources and providing dual-circuit power supply for single-power loads.
·Main Switching Components: Imported SCR modules enable millisecond-level high-speed, contactless switching.
·Typical Switching Time: ≤8 milliseconds (ms).
·Normal Operation: When both Power Source A and Power Source B are normal, the STS is powered by Source A, while the SCR module for Source B remains in standby mode.
·Power Source A Failure: In the event of an abnormality with Power Source A, the STS automatically switches to Source B for powering the load.
·Power Source A Restoration: When Power Source A returns to normal, the STS automatically transfers back from Source B to Source A for powering the load, demonstrating automatic priority for Source A.
·Manual Switching: When both Power Source A and Power Source B are normal, manual switching between A and B can be performed via the panel switch button.
